Murphy’s Announcement

Woof Woof.  I know you haven’t heard from me since, well, since Mom & Dad took me on that house on the water.  What was it called?   Oh, yeah, a boat.   Boy, was that an adventure.   I loved every minute of it.  Can you imagine a Labrador Retriever living on the water?   It just does not get better than that.

Since then, they got another house that moves.  What is up with these two?  This house seems to have many names.  I can’t quite figure it out.  Sometimes they call it a fifth wheel, sometimes an RV, sometimes a trailer   Who knows?  Anyway, we ride in the big black truck (I have the whole backseat to myself) and take our house with us.  We stop at new places and I get to go on hikes, fetch sticks, swim, and smell, smell, smell.   It’s awesome!

This summer we were exploring around the Great Lakes and guess what I did?   I swam in all five Great Lakes!   Yessiree, I did.    Mom thought Lake Superior would be too cold.   Doesn’t she know I have a weather-resistant double coat?  Geez Mom.   After Lake Superior, I swam in Lake Michigan, then Lake Huron, then Lake Ontario (by Niagara Falls) and then finally Lake Erie.   I had swum in some of them during our boat adventure, but not all five.  This time I swam in all five. Woohoo!

Mom usually takes me swimming after I first wake up in the morning and we have the whole beach to ourselves.  I think I liked Lake Superior the best as Mom was able to find the sturdy sticks on the shore for me to fetch.   Thanks Mom!

Thanks for following along on our fun adventures.  I just had to share my great accomplishment!

From your All Five Great Lakes swimming Labrador Retriever, Murphy.

He sure loves his mom and dad.

We are looking forward to hearing more of Murphy’s adventures

  2. Murphy you are my hero! congratulations on the 5 great lake award!!! You are so lucky to be in cool air and water while I am stuck living inside our tiny boat because mom and dad said it is too hot to be out during the day as it would burn my paws. At least I get to play most morning and late evenings when the sun is not up.
I love your adventures and hope we see each again one day!
to butt sniffs and ball catching again, your friend,
